Alumni Association

Benefits of Membership

By virtue of your degree from UNCG, you are entitled to the following benefits:

Alumni Association Board of Directors: All alumni are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. If you’re interested in being considered for nomination, submit the online form. In addition, three of our schools have alumni boards: The Bryan School of Business and Economics, the School of Health and Human Sciences and the School of Nursing.

The Alumni House: The Alumni House has played host to countless events in the lives of our alumni, from weddings and baby showers to retirement receptions and memorials. Alumni can reserve space in the Alumni House by contacting John Comer, Alumni House Manager, at or (336) 256-1466.

Alumni of Distinction Awards: The Alumni Association honors distinguished alumni and emerging leaders each year with several Alumni of Distinction Awards, including the Alumni Distinguished Service Award, the Young Alumni Award, the WC Legacy Award, the Alumni Excellence Award, and the Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award. These awards are presented annually at a dinner during the week leading up to Homecoming. Please consider nominating an outstanding alum for one of these awards using the online form.

Campus Rec Membership: Stay in shape and remain an active participant in campus life by joining the Campus Rec Center at a reduced rate. Alumni can purchase a year’s membership for as little as $159.

Career Services: The Career Services Center is eager to assist alumni in their career development. Search for a job, or post an opening at your own company, at SpartanCareers; find career advice at DIY Career; or participate in a job fair. And don’t forget, connect with us on LinkedIn through the UNCG Spartans Network, the official UNCG professional network for alumni, students and faculty and staff.

Alumni & Friends e-newsletters: The Alumni Association sends a monthly e-newsletter to nearly 60,000 alumni and friends with important news, event updates and campus announcements. If you don’t already receive our monthly e-newsletter, email us at or click here to update your contact information with us. Click here to submit a class note for an upcoming issue.

Regional Alumni Clubs: The Alumni Association has formed alumni clubs in six regions: the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point), the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), Charlotte, Atlanta, New York City and Washington, D.C. If you’re interested in learning more about the regional clubs or to get involved with one, please contact Donegan Root, Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, at or (336) 256-2013.

Reunions and Homecomings: Each year the Alumni Association, in partnership with many other campus departments and organizations, hosts reunions and special gatherings for alumni.
